Meet Liz
Sleep is personal—and so is the support I offer.
I'm so glad you're here
I’m Liz Cahill, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Certified Behavioral Sleep Specialist, and former special education teacher. I founded BetterSleep because I know how exhausting and overwhelming it can feel when your child struggles with sleep—especially when you’ve tried everything and nothing seems to stick.
Sleep touches every part of family life—behavior, learning, emotional regulation, and the overall well-being of both kids and parents. I take a compassionate, science-informed approach to create personalized sleep plans that actually work in real homes with real kids (and really tired parents).
Whether you’re navigating sleep challenges with a child on the autism spectrum or simply need support that truly understands your family’s needs, you’re in the right place.
I offer three levels of sleep support—from quick strategy sessions to ongoing coaching—so you can choose the level of guidance that works best for you right now. Together, we’ll build a plan you feel confident using—so bedtime can finally feel calmer, smoother, and more restful for everyone.

Does my child actually need a sleep specialist?
Most families wait until they’re totally burned out before asking for help. The truth is, if your child’s sleep is affecting their behavior, mood, or your family’s sanity… it’s worth getting support. Sleep problems don’t usually ‘just fix themselves
Can’t I just wait it out?
I get this all the time: ‘Won’t they grow out of it?’ Maybe. But most kids don’t. Sleep struggles that start young often stick around — unless you make changes. The good news? Sleep is a skill, and skills can be taught.
What makes your approach different?
I combine behavioral science + sleep biology, tailored for autistic children. That means realistic strategies that fit your child — not a one-size-fits-all script
